In Real Life was commissioned to do user research for Packwise, a packaging company as part of the company’s development of new packaging for supermarket chains own trademarks for liquid washing, dishwashing, toilet cleaner and liquid detergents. The task consisted of recruiting informants, as well as developing dialogue tools for dialogue with the informants on everyday practices. The research had an emphasis on documenting and reflecting on how the relevant products are included and taking place in the informants’ everyday lives. The insights from this research formed the basis for the continued design process.
